EVE: Vanguard

EVE: Vanguard is an extraction-adventure FPS set on the planets of New Eden made in Unreal Engine 5. I worked as a Level Designer on EVE: Vanguard for almost five years. During that time I designed and implemented gameplay spaces across nine multiplayer maps and over 60 Points of Interest. In my role I have been responsible for whiteboxing and greyboxing, combat arena design, AI encounter design, player flow and traversal design, and mission design throughout the concept, blockout, and shipping stages on maps I worked on.

JunkPunk is an action packed, punk inspired, junk and wire robotic combat game that focuses on you, a junkyard mechanic. In your spare time, you create robots built to compete in underground combat tournaments. Build your robot to suit your playstyle, and compete in the arena, where robots rip each other apart piece by piece in hack-slash-and-shoot brawl, while you compete for fame and glory. Will you be at the bottom of the bin, or the top of the trash heap?

Soul Reaper is a 2D strategy game somewhat similar to an auto-chess style game. I worked on it as part of an internship while I was studying abroad in Montreal, Canada. I mainly built out the levels using the tileset tools, as well as did work on creating most of the enemy layouts for the combat encounters.

Junkpunk Arena is a multiplayer robot building and fighting game. I worked on the project as the Lead Level Designer in a team of 12. I’ve already made a full level for the project, and I am currently working on a second, larger level for the new free-for-all mode that is being planned. I’m really happy with the way the first level turned out, especially with the lighting and post-processing, and the second level is looking to be just as good!
